  5. #  Under Unix: Each Process (= running Program) has a set of 
  6. #  associated variables. The variables are called enviroment 
  7. #  variables and, together, constitute the process environment.
  8. #  These variables include the search path, the terminal type,
  9. #  user's login name and user defined variables.
  10.  
  11. #  Unfortunatelly the MacOS has no equivalent. So we need 
  12. #  a file to emulate the environment variables.
  13. #  Name of this file is "MacZip.Env". It can be placed
  14. #  in the current folder of MacZip or in the 
  15. #  preference folder of the system disk. 
  16. #  If MacZip founds the "MacZip.Env" file in the same 
  17. #  folder of MacZip the "MacZip.Env" file in the 
  18. #  preference folder will be ignored.
  19.  
  20. #  An environment variable has a name and a value:
  21. #  Name=Value
  22. #  Note: Spaces are significant:
  23. #  ZIPOPT=-r  and
  24. #  ZIPOPT = -r are different !!!
  25.  
  26. #  Layout of this file: Comments must start with a '#'. Empty
  27. #  lines and comments are ignored. Linebreaks of this file
  28. #  must be in Macintosh format, DOS or Unix linebreaks will 
  29. #  not work correctly. To check the "MacZip.Env" file select
  30. #  the menu File->Show Enviroment.
  31. #  The filename must be "MacZip.Env" (case insensitiv). 
  32. #  Choose your favorite editor to edit this file. 
  33. #  Filetype and filecreator are not important.

  35. #  Maczip's  default  behavior  may  be  modified  via options
  36. #  placed in an "environment variable". This file simulates
  37. #  the process environment.
  38. #  This can be done  with any  option.
  39. #  Use var-name "ZIPOPT" for zip- and "UNZIP"
  40. #  for the unzip-module (see example below)

  42. #  Note to performance: Keep this file as small as possible.
  43. #  Every start of zip or unzip will load and parse this file.
